Thames Gateway and the Olympics

Case study: Ingrebourne Valley

Ingebourne Valley is a former gravel quarry and landfill site on the northern edge of Rainham. The 74 hectare site is due to be converted into high quality multi-purpose public green space that is accessible to all.

Surrounded by the towns of Rainham, Romford and Hornchurch and adjacent to existing greenspaces such as Hornchurch country park, Ingebourne Valley will play a vital role in joining these communities together and improving the local environment.

Ingebourne Valley will form part of the Thames Chase Community Forest.
