Sadiq Khan wishes everyone a very happy Easter.

I want to wish everyone a really good and happy Easter.
It's a time of year that is really important in the Christian calendar, a time for renewal, for making fresh promises and making a fresh start to renew commitments to the commandments. It's a time when the churches and our fellow Christian citizens celebrate.
I'm really pleased that we can pay tribute to the big role that the churches and the Christian community play in making this country so vibrant. I see for myself - when I go to visit communities up and down the country - the huge role that the church leaders and churches make, not just to local Christian communities, but to local communities of all faiths. As well as doing really invaluable interfaith work, making our communities stronger and our society better.
Again I'd like to wish everyone a very happy Easter, and hope you have a really good time with your friends and family during these holidays.
