This survey report commissioned by the Department from the Building Control Alliance (BCA) and the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) provides information on the breakdown of building control activities carried out by members of Local Authority Building Control (LABC) and Association of Consultant Approved Inspectors (ACAI) in a one year period (2006-07)
The survey questionnaires covered a wide range of building control subjects and was one of the most extensive research projects ever undertaken into building control activities and practice.
This survey report is part of the supporting documents relating to The Future of Building Control - Consultation paper.
The findings and recommendations in this report are those of the consultant authors and do not necessarily represent the views or proposed policies of Communities and Local Government.
