This guide is a companion document to Eurocode EN 1995-1-1 Design of Timber Structures - General - Common Rules for Buildings. This document concentrates on explaining each section/part of EN 1995-1-1 in a much more user-friendly language and for better understanding of the Code.

Chapter 1 comprises the main differences between BS 5268: Part 2 and EN 1995-1-1 for information only, while Chapter 2 concentrates on explaining each section/part of EN 1995-1-1. It includes simple explanations of various parts of EN 1995-1-1 parallel with its contents. Chapter 3 includes design guides using a practical step-by-step guide, helping designers to use EN 1995-1-1 in their designs.
