Summary

This lessons report focuses on two aspects of plan making - participation and policy integration. The report considers what collaborative activity is taking place across boundaries and sectors and the influence of this on the integration of policy in spatial planning. It also investigates community engagement in terms of the types of participation techniques used and their success in achieving consensus and legitimacy for the strategy, proposals and policies within parts of the Local Development Framework (LDF).

The findings and recommendations in this report are those of the consultant authors and do not necessarily represent the views or proposed policies of Communities and Local Government.
