Summary

These two impact assessments examine options for using changes to Part G of Schedule 1 of the building regulations in England and Wales and the guidance in Approved Document G:

to update the Requirements, references and guidance to reflect current practice and standards for water use and hot water systems; and to implement the water efficiency policy announced in July 2007
to use technology to limit the temperature of hot water in dwellings.

Alongside the consultation paper, we would welcome any views you may have on these impact assessments by 5 August 2008.
