The purpose of this divisional circular letter is to bring to attention changes in respect of Part G in Schedule 1 to the Building Regulations, and new minimum water efficiency requirements in new dwellings.
The Amendment Regulations also amend the Building (Approved Inspectors etc) Regulations 2000 in respect of procedural matters so that those matters are treated by approved inspectors in the same way as by local authorities.
The Amendment Regulations come into force on 1 October 2009 (now postponed - see Circular 10/2009 in the Related publications section).
