Summary

Minerals Policy Statement 2 (MPS2), published in March 2005, sets out the policies and considerations that the Government expects Mineral Planning Authorities to follow when preparing development plans and in considering applications for minerals development. This supercedes Minerals Policy Guidance 11 (MPG11).
