Summary

This is the final report due for the project, Innovative Construction Products and Techniques (ICPT). This project was commissioned under the Communities and Local Government Fire Safety Framework Agreement with the BRE-led consortium.

This report provides information on a range of issues concerning Innovative Construction Products and Techniques (ICPT), with particular regard to the fire safety and robustness of new and emerging products and systems. Issues considered include the fire spread, integrity of compartmentation, cavity barriers, external cladding, structural insulated panel systems and workmanship.

This report will be of interest to key stakeholders including the Fire and Rescue Service, national and local authority building control bodies, insurers, mortgage lenders, manufacturers and housing associations.
