The consultation paper Improving the Appeal Process in the Planning System: Making it proportionate, customer focused, efficient and well resourced proposed some fundamental changes to how the appeals system operates, aiming to deliver an appeals system that is proportionate, customer focused, efficient and well resourced. The consultation closed on 17 August 2007. This document summarises the responses received and sets out how the Government proposes to take forward improvements to the appeals system in light of those responses.
