Summary

This document gives an update on the 2006 processing and statistics. This includes an explanation of the process for creating the Generalised Land Use Database and problems identified in the underlying 2006 data that prevented the statistics from being released.

Communities and Local Government consider the 2005 figures to be the definitive land use statistics. No further work is planned on the Generalised Land Use Database. Should newer data be required the Department supports third party use of the published methodology.
