The purpose of this circular is to draw attention to these amendment regulations and explain the changes they make to the Building Act 1984, to the Building Regulations 2000 (the Building Regulations) and to the Building (Approved Inspectors etc) Regulations 2000 (the AI Regulations). Explain the transitional provisions; including announcing the approval and publication of four new Approved Documents; and recommend certain action by Building Control Bodies (BCBs).
