This research, published in June 2004, considered whether a development plan approach, possibly based on that used within the land use planning system in its current state, or alternative options, could provide a suitable strategic and sustainable approach to the identification and allocation of areas for marine aggregate dredging, in English waters. The research considers various options and recommends a preferred option for a development framework for the identication and allocation of suitable areas for marine aggregate dredging.
