Summary

This report sets out the summary and analysis of the responses to the consultation on Simplified arrangements for the production of CO2 emission rate calculations for new buildings under the Building Regulations 2000.

The consultation attracted only a very low level of response, mainly from building control bodies (local authorities and approved inspectors) and professional bodies (architects, engineers).

Overall there was a high level of support for all the proposals, in particular for the proposed legislative changes.
