Summary

The Building Regulations research programme is steered by a strategy and emerging policy requirements. Each year new projects are prioritised for funding within the programme budget. Communities and Local Government have a Research Management Contractor to assist with the review and development of strategy, the specification of new projects, the appraisal of proposals, and the monitoring of project delivery. The programme normally has 70 to 90 ongoing projects let either through 5 framework contracts or competitive tender. The frameworks cover Structural Integrity, Fire Safety, Building Operational Performance, Building Occupant Interaction, and Sanitation.

This e-Newsletter provides details of new projects, updates on ongoing projects and recent research findings.
