Summary
This policy statement confirms the Government's intention for all new homes to be zero carbon by 2016 with a major progressive tightening of the energy efficiency building regulations - by 25 per cent in 2010 and by 44 per cent in 2013 - up to the zero carbon target in 2016.The statement also responds to the key issues raised in responses to the consultation paper Building a Greener Future: Towards Zero Carbon Development.
