Summary

This is the eight annual report on the advisory work carried out by the Building Regulations Advisory Committee (BRAC) in 2007.

BRAC has continued to work closely with officials in the Communities and Local Government's Sustainable Buildings Division to provide strategic and technical advice and views on a broad range of issues related to the Building Regulations. This included changes to various parts of the regulations, in particular The Review of Building Control was a key issue for consideration by BRAC in 2007.

Other key considerations during 2007, was the focus on Sustainability and Part G (hygiene) of the Building Regulations, which were issues also discussed by two operational BRAC Working Parties.
