In July 2007, the Secretary of State made the minded decision to implement Bedford Borough Council's bid for a unitary council for the area of Bedford. The proposal was subject to their being suitbale unitary arrangements for the remaining area of Bedfordshire. This document invites the relevant councils to make their proposals regarding the rest of Bedfordshire.Order
