This analysis investigates the impact of LPSA target formulation and implementation processes on target achievement.

Data on target formulation and implementation processes from target owner surveys was analysed against target achievement levels, as reflected in LPSA reward claim forms.

The analysis showed that target owners' perceptions of their role and level of influence in target formulation and implementation were significantly linked to subsequent target achievement, suggesting that management, partnership working, monitoring and innovation were particularly important to LPSA success.
