The Take-up campaign was launched in England in May 2006 with a £5m spend to build public awareness and encourage usage of Local Authority online services, which have seen a continuous programme of improvement and development.
Targeted at existing internet users, the first burst of this ongoing campaign promoted 16 types of available online LA services, accessed directly or using the campaign web site and locator page www.direct.gov.uk/mycouncil.
