This research report results from the long term evaluation of the Beacon Scheme being carried out by Warwick University Business School and jointly commissioned by ODPM and the IDeA.

The report looks at the experience of becoming and being a Beacon in 13 case studies. It considers the learning opportunities gained through being a Beacon, explores the impact of all stages of being a Beacon and explores perceptions and attitudes to the scheme.

Although this report was commissioned by the Office, the findings and recommendations are those of the authors and do not necessarily represent the views of the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister.
