Summary

This research report results from the long term evaluation of the Beacon Scheme being carried out by Warwick University Business School and jointly commissioned by ODPM and the IDeA.

The report provides quantitative data on local government officers' and elected members' experiences of the Beacon Scheme, looking particularly at applications for Beacon status and at the experience of attending events.

Although this report was commissioned by the Office, the findings and recommendations are those of the authors and do not necessarily represent the views of the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister.
