Summary

In October 2004, the Advisory Panel for Beacon Councils was commissioned by the Minister for Local Government to carry out a review of the Beacon Scheme and put forward suggestions on how we could maintain and build on the success of previous rounds.

In July 2005 the Government published its response to the Panel's suggestions.
