In the National Improvement and Efficiency Strategy, published 15 January 2008, central government agreed to publish a prospectus, drawing together proposals for simplifying support and providing information on the support available to help local authorities and their partners to deliver outcomes locally. The prospectus will set out a comprehensive picture of the support which central and local government are providing to local partners. It will show how the delivery of support will be changed to reflect a more sector- led, and simpler approach to supporting the delivery of local area agreements.
