In August 2010 the Department for Communities and Local Government invited views on a proposal to allow students studying with educational establishments situated in European Union member states to be treated as resident in the UK for Council Tax purposes.

This consultation seeks views on a proposal to allow persons who are undertaking a full-time course of education with an educational establishment situated in any Member State of the European Union to be treated as students resident in the UK for Council Tax purposes.
