Summary

This report outlines the progress made to December 2007 in implementing Social HomeBuy. In particular it focuses on the motivations behind the involvement of participating landlords and their experience of barriers to the implementation of the scheme both from an organisational and a tenant perspective.

The report provides an insight into the perceptions of landlords who are not currently participating in the scheme and reports the barriers they perceive in offering this scheme.

The findings and recommendations in this report are those of the consultant authors and do not necessarily represent the views or proposed policies of Communities and Local Government.
