Summary

In July 2007 Communities and Local Government published a consultation paper, Shared Ownership and Leasehold Enfranchisement, seeking views on proposed changes to current leasehold enfranchisement rules to simplify and clarify the position in relation to shared ownership houses.

The consultation closed in October 2007, and this document summarises relevant comments made in response to the questions posed. It also provides Communities and Local Government's response.

The vast majority of respondents were supportive of the main proposals.
