Summary

This paper sought views and comments on the proposed implementation of  Part 2 (Leasehold Reform) of the 2002 Act. In particular, on the proposals to include section 156 of the Act in the next commencement order (with the provisions anticipated to be brought into force in June 2003).

Section 156 inserts a new provision into the Landlord and Tenant Act 1987, which requires the payee to hold service charge contributions in a separate account.
