Summary

The purpose of this document is to give advice and guidance to councils with Social Housing responsibilities on how they could measure efficiency gains in the area of social housing and to assist them in completing their Annual Efficiency Statements (AES).

This guidance is supplementary to The Efficiency Technical Note (ETN) for Local Government (January 2005); Social Housing Efficiency: Efficiency Technical Note (April 2005); and the general guidance note Measuring Efficiency Gains (May 2005).
