Summary

In the 2008/09 Annual Determination, Communities and Local Government recognised that the return to the Caps and Limits mechanism will also be the means by which offsetting adjustments will be made to enable Local Authorities to keep rent increases at affordable levels.

The actual adjustment for caps and limits will not occur until the time of the base data form which is due in August 2008 but because authorities have asked how Caps and Limits will be calculated we have produced this guidance at an early date.
