This is one of a series of reviews into Local Delivery Vehicles (LDVs). LDVs are charged with delivering major development in the Growth Areas, identified in the Sustainable Communities Plan. The context for this Review is an evaluation of the delivery arrangements established by the Aylesbury Vale Advantage Board, which is now about three years into operations, and which is a normal requirement of Communities and Local Government into any project in which substantial public funds are invested.
The main function of the Review (see Appendix A) is to interview the principal stakeholders and local partners to see how well the LDV is performing. Is it fit for purpose? Is it delivering? How is it perceived? Can it be improved?
Over 40 interviews took place between October 2006 and January 2007, mostly face to face and some by telephone. The list of people interviewed is at Appendix B.
The findings and recommendations in this report are those of the consultant authors and do not necessarily represent the views or proposed policies of Communities and Local Government.
