Summary

This document confirms the detail allocation mechanism for the next comprehensive spending review (2008/09 - 2010/11).

The new £510m Housing and Planning Delivery Grant  incentivises local authorities to improve housing delivery and other planning outcomes in their local areas.

On 25 October 2007, the Government published a consultation on the Housing and Planning Delivery Grant: allocation mechanism. The consultation closed on 17 January 2008. This document also contains the summary responses. Thank you to all those who responded.
