Summary

In 1999 West Midlands Fire Service approached the Home Office for support for a study to investigate ethnic views on the fire service as an employer with the aim of implementing a recruitment advertising strategy that would improve its record on ethnic minority recruitment.  West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service were also chosen for the study.  The study was completed and these are the findings.
