Summary

The Department is seeking views on the draft National Fire and Rescue Service quality and Diversity Strategy. The consultation will run for 12 weeks.

The strategy covers all strands of diversity (age, ethnicity, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability and religion).

The priority areas for action set out in the Strategy: 

• Providing leadership and promoting inclusion
• Effective service delivery and community engagement
• Attraction, recruitment
• Measuring action and sharing success
• Accountability

A 10 year high level national strategy which will meet the challenge to transform Service culture and deliver radical change,
