This release provides headline findings from the from the first quarter of the 2007-08 Citizenship Survey, covering April - June 2007. The release covers active and empowered communities; community cohesion; and racial prejudice and discrimination.
The Citizenship Survey is a face to face household survey carried out by Communities and Local Government covering a representative core sample of almost 10,000 adults in England and Wales each year, plus a minority ethnic boost sample of 5,000.
The survey has moved to a continuous design, allowing the provision of headline findings on a quarterly basis. A detailed annual report for 2007/2008 will be published in summer 2008.
