Summary

This policy statement commits the Department to maintaining its Environmental Management System to ISO 14001, and more specifically to the prevention of pollution and compliance with all relevant legislation, regulations and commitments associated wth the programme for Sustainable Operations on the Government Estate (SOGE). The statement outlines Communities and Local Government's (CLG's) duty to continually improve performance by identifying and monitoring its negative environmental impacts and setting targets and objectives to reduce these.

The policy statement applies to all individuals working on the CLG estate.
