Summary

This is the Government response to the Select Committee's report on Living Places: Cleaner, Safer, Greener. Overall, the Government welcomes the report and the Committee's recognition of the progress being across Departments in delivering better places to live. It stresses the importance of co-ordinating actions across Government to deliver on this complex agenda recognising that responsibility is shared across many agencies. The Government supports this view.

The Government's response to each of the Select Committee's conclusions and recommendations are set out in detail.
