Summary
Local information systems enable the analysis of local information, support local decision making and provide information for citizens. They are web-based portals run by local partnerships to collate, store and disseminate local and national data. This report provides evidence for local partnerships on the costs, savings and other benefits of establishing a local information system.
The findings and recommendations in this report are those of the consultant authors and do not necessarily represent the views or proposed policies of Communities and Local Government.
