Summary

This Schedule is published preparatory to making a statutory instrument designating Yorkshire Forward an Intermediate Body for the Operational Programme (OP).The OP is a development strategy to be carried out with the aid of the ERDF in Yorkshire and the Humber. It aims to strengthen regional competitiveness and employment in the region. The EC adopted the OP on 7 December 2007. Responsibility for managing and implementing the OP lies with the Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government, whose designation as the "Managing Authority" was confirmed by the Commission on the adoption of the OP. The Schedule allocates functions relating to the management and implementation of the OP between the Managing Authority and the Intermediate Body.
