  • support on planning for major infrastructure, and the Planning Bill

Biography

Parmjit Dhanda was appointed as Parliamentary Under Secretary of State at the Department for Communities and Local Government on 29 June 2007.

Since May 2006, he served as the Parliamentary Under Secretary at the Department for Education and Skills.

Parmjit Dhanda has been a Member of Parliament (MP) for Gloucester since 2001. He was born in London in 1971 and attended Mellow Lane comprehensive school, before studying engineering and a MSc in Information Technology at Nottingham University. He went on to work for Connect - the union for professionals in communications - as anĀ  Assistant National Organiser.

He lives in Matson, Gloucester, with his wife and son and is a keen sports fan.
