United Kingdom Minerals Yearbook 2007

The British Geological Survey (BGS) produces annually the United Kingdom Minerals Yearbook for the Planning: Resources and Environment Policy Division of Communities and Local Government.

The Minerals Yearbook for 2007 was published in June 2008. Government, industry and the wider public require access to reliable sources of data on minerals and the minerals industry in Britain. Such data is provided in the annual publication United Kingdom Minerals Yearbook. The Yearbook brings together in one volume data on minerals production, consumption and trade, and includes up-to-date and authoritative commentary on current developments in the minerals industry. It is of value to all those interested in the many facets of Britain's minerals industry and its contribution to the national economy, and forms part of the long term mining and quarrying record of the United Kingdom.

The United Kingdom Minerals Yearbooks for 2002-07 are available to download from BGS (external link).

The findings and recommendations in these reports are those of the consultant authors and do not necessarily represent the views or proposed policies of Communities and Local Government.
