The Killian Pretty Review
The aim of the review was to investigate the opportunities for improving the planning application process for the benefit of all involved.
The review was jointly commissioned by Communities and Local Government and Business, Enterprise and Regulatory Reform Departments in March 2008. It was carried out by Joanna Killian, Chief Executive of Essex County Council and David Pretty, who recently retired as Group Chief Executive of Barratt Developments PLC.
The final report was published on 24 November 2008. The report and supporting research are available below and through the external link to the Planning Portal on the right of this page. The Government's response to the Killian Pretty Review Final Report, published on 5 March 2009, is also available below.
