Minerals Policy Statement 2: Controlling and Mitigating the Environmental Effects of Mineral Extraction in England
Minerals Policy Statement 2 (MPS2) sets out the policies and considerations that the Government expects mineral planning authorities (MPAs) to follow when preparing development plans and in considering applications for minerals development.
This supercedes Minerals Planning Guidance 11: The control of noise at surface mineral workings (MPG11) published on 6 May 1993.
