Code for Sustainable Homes (videos)

We have produced two short films for the Code for Sustainable Homes. The first one was produced at the time of the launch of the Code. It explains what the Code is, what the benefits are, and how it contributes to other policies, in particular the timeline for zero carbon development. The film is presented by Yvette Cooper MP, former Minister for Housing and Planning, and features interviews with Paul King, former Campaigns Director for WWF, now Chief Executive of the UK Green Building Council,, and John Callcutt, Chair of the Review of Housebuilding Delivery.

The second short film features the first Code homes in the country, which  were built on the Illingworth Estate in Halifax by Bramall Construction on behalf of Pennine  Housing 2000. This film, in the form of a report features those homes and highlights some of the sustainability features that you can expect to see in homes built to Code standards. These homes reached Code level 4. The film also features interviews with both Caroline Flint, Minister for Housing and Planning, and Iain Wright, Parliamentary Under-Secretary for Communities and Local Government.
