About the Local Governance Research Unit
The Local Governance Research Unit provides professional social research support and economic advice on a wide range of local government issues.
The Local Governance Research Programme complements the larger, service-specific research programmes run by other parts of Communities and Local Government.
The research programme newsletter details recently completed research projects and contains updates on current projects and recent research findings.
The Unit's Analytical Team carries out quantitative analyses of local government performance and financial data in support of policy formulation and evaluation. Further details can be found below.
