The Business Improvement Package (BIP) responds to a commitment in the 2006 White Paper to deliver a national support infrastructure to help build local authority business improvement capability and to join-up relevant work across government. It links with other existing national and regional sources of support and capacity building to provide:
We aim to make available the information that authorities need to select the right solution for their own communities' needs. We will also continue to develop the BIP, and it's future place and role, as a result of feedback from Councils and in the light of review of the national improvement strategy.
