Lifting financial management burdens from local authorities: a call for evidence

The Task Force's Review of Financial Management has begun its work and is calling on local authorities to send in evidence of central government requirements which cause the most difficulty particularly in the areas of:

  • The Private Finance Initiative
  • The Efficiency Programme and Value for Money Assessments
  • Audit requirements for specific grants
  • Data returns.

The deadline for responses is 11 January 2008.
