The Housing and Older People Development Group (HOPDEV)

A history of the work of HOPDEV, details of its current membership and key publications.

The Housing and Older People Development Group (HOPDEV) is an independent body, supported and sponsored by Communities and Local Government and the Department of Health. It has advised Government on older people's housing issues since 2001, when it was set up to help Government deliver the Strategic Framework linked to Quality and Choice for Older People's Housing. Following a Review in 2006, HOPDEV has been advising on the development and implementation of the National Strategy for Housing in an Ageing Society.
