Obtaining printed copies of housing statistics publications

Most of our range of regular and ad-hoc reports, summaries, statistical releases (SR) and live data tables for the full range of statistical subject areas are available on this website.

Where a paper version of the publication is available the web version will list the full publication details to allow you to order the hard copy. Details will include:

Note: Data contained in any of our reports or SRs represent a historical snapshot. Some of our publications, e.g. the Housing Statistics Annual, are based on a selection of the latest available Live Tables. When looking for the latest data you should always refer to the Live tables for the subject you are interested in or the Index of Data rather than from the printed reports.

Although we will continue to publish data in print, our policy is to use the live tables as the main way of publishing up-to-date data as soon as they are available.

How to order

Housing Statistical Summaries

Summaries of all completed Communities and Local Government housing statistics are available to download from the Occasional topics summaries webpage.

Priced publications

Information on how to order priced publications, (either through Communities and Local Government or The Stationery Office (TSO) and including online credit card transactions) is available on the main Communities and Local Government publications page.

Please ensure that you know the title of the Housing publication that you wish to order, and if possible the ISBN Number.

Other Housing publications

Communities and Local Government publishes free information leaflets and booklets on a wide range of housing topics.

You can find individual publications using the main or advanced Search engine or from the Publications section for each topic area. Each publication summary page will have information on how to order (as well as a downloadable version).

Please remember to quote:

the product code of the publication(s) you are interested in (this can be found in the publication's listing)
the quantity of each publication you need (there may be a limit on the maximum number of each publication that can be sent to you)
The name and address of where the publications should be sent

Statistical Releases

All Housing News and Statistical Releases are issued through the Communities and Local Government website. Hard copies are usually distributed to press/media groups. However, if you are unable to obtain an electronic copy we may be able to provide a hard copy on request. Email: housing.statistics@communities.gov.uk
