Data, forms and guidance
You can obtain the complete set of data reported by all 354 district authorities for each financial year from 2001/02. The specific forms and guidance used for that year are also provided. Note regional figures may include estimates for missing data.
Any live data tables generated from these sets of data are available under the relevant subject area homepage or through the Live Tables section.
For data collected between 1976/77 (when this data collection process began) and 2001/02, please contact us directly to check whether the data are available and to tell us how you intend to use them. Note for data prior to April 1998, two sets of data are available. The first is based on the administrative area applicable at that time. For the second, unitary authorities and counties listed are based on latest administrative boundaries (ie from 1 April 1998). Old administrative authorities' figures have been converted to the equivalent new authorities' figures based on proportions of household figures transferred at the time. The second set is the appropriate one to use if you wish to make comparisons with recent years' data.
